Surface Paintings

I also enjoy doing small drawings with pencil, pen and charcoal, they enable me to use lots of different mark making, and involve some of the more fine detail which are not present in a lot of my painting pieces.

Wall decay Paintings

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have in certain pieces used texture to exaggerate parts of my work, cotton wall buds painted and then squashed onto the wall to look like lumps of decay, also other things like paper, polystyrene and glue.  I think it is important for me to keep introducing new materials and texture in my work.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I still am working on other surfaces like paper and canvas, I am interested in seeing how I produce work on these mediums.  While working on paper on a smaller scale with inks.  I am experimenting with the position of the compositions, and how the inks affect the paper.
